"At best 'higher density' means developments such as the new Peabody Trust Development in Stoke Newington. It fits flats into its site at a density nearly twice Hackney's planning guidelines without imposing on its surroundings or making its residents feel cramped. The Tower adds to the dignity of Newington Green. More important, the residents describe it as 'really spacious' with a 'good spirit'".

"Peabody Trust's Newington Green development makes the most of a difficult inner-city site... it proves that social housing can combine flair and functionality in eye-catching designs to enrich the locality".
