The proposal is to provide a new two storey bookend to the existing refectory building in the heart of the St Mary’s campus. This will provide a new kitchen at ground floor with meeting rooms above it. The existing dining hall will be enlarged and refurbished so that there is direct access from the seating area to outside space.

The new building will reflect both the general massing and the materials of the existing adjacent brick buildings. An east facing pitched roof projection within the parapet walls will provide clerestory light into the first floor rooms.
