RSS was commissioned in September 2006 to work with four other architect teams on the masterplan and design of the redevelopment of the Stonegrove Estate in North London. The scheme will deliver a balanced community of around 1000 mixed tenure housing all built to Lifetime Homes Standards. RSS has particular responsibility for zone 5 of the masterplan: 128 affordable homes and 24 private homes. The scheme aims to achieve a high density while providing well planned modern apartments with access to good quality usable amenity space, maximum daylight and views within an efficiently engineered, passive design envelope.
