A long journey through the planning process has successfully concluded with approval for a part new, part retrofit retail, serviced office and co-working space set within the historic urban fabric of the Whitechapel High Street Conservation Area.
Reflecting the small scale industry and craft uses of the 19th Century, our proposal wraps a new corrugated metal façade around the vacant plot at no.12 and projects stepped form toward Altab Ali park at the rear. The three deep, thin plots are linked together on the upper floors to provide occupation by a single tenant or for start-ups and micro-businesses within a multi-tenancy arrangement.
