Practice

Rivington Street Studio strives to be at the forefront of new sustainable construction and to deliver buildings that are beautiful, practical, defect free and value for money. We provide a personal service with an emphasis on project continuity, drawing on collective experience and understanding. We have an open office atmosphere fostering debate and interaction which is mutually supportive, beneficial and motivating.

In 2022, Rivington Street Studio moved to an Employee Ownership Trust to ensure a sustainable future for the practice and its employees. The Trust owns a significant and meaningful stake in the business. An elected Employee Forum ensures that employees’ voices continue to contribute to the practice’s evolution and success.

Rivington Street Studio is an accredited Living Wage Employer and has an active and meaningful social value programme.

Our practice culture and organisation reflects the values we embed within our designs, with our response to the climate and biodiversity emergency informing everything we do. We are signatories of the UK Architects Declare initiative and the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge. We measure our practice carbon footprint annually and aim to reduce it every year. Rivington Street Studio strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. Our policy is outlined here.

The practice is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CHAS, Constructionline and Cyber Essentials accredited. The practice is currently seeking, and on track to achieve, ISO 19650 certification.
