Bridge Academy MUGA & Parks Depot

These two new pavilion buildings in Haggerston Park, Hackney provide very different functions but are united architecturally with floating aluminium roofs, brickwork walls with simply detailed openings and clerestory glazing. The walls not only echo the existing historic park walls, but also respond to the real need for security and robustness.

The sports pavilion provides changing rooms for both Bridge Academy and for the local community. This serves three multi use games areas with polymeric surfaces and a synthetic turf pitch.

The depot provides a base for Hackney’s parks department and ranger service. As a high quality green space with excellent environmental and management standards, Haggerston Park has been awarded a national standard Green Flag award.

"I must commend RSS on the thoroughly professional service provided in terms of advice, quality of presentation and their attention to detail, all delivered with a friendly and personal touch."
