Woodberry Down Children’s Centre

The project brief sets out to consolidate services and extend the Woodberry Down Children’s Centre in Hackney, which provides important services to the Woodberry Down community.

An annex of the John Scott Health Centre and one of the first purpose built buildings of this type in Britain, the listed ‘Nursery Building’ forms the heart of the new centre. Developed in close collaboration with the building users, the scheme provides high quality spaces by introducing two contemporary extensions that will bookend the existing architecture.
